Custom Orders

Diane can paint your pet's portrait onto a shirt. Just send us a .jpg file photo at 150 dpi or better. Use our handy online order system or mail it to the studio. Your pet's name can be written under the portrait at no additonal charge. If you would like a design on the back of the shirt, please add $2.00. (For dogs, Diane can paint a dog biscuit; for a cat, a toy mouse).

Custom orders are impressionistic and not photo-realism. Prices are for a single pet. Additional pets can be added at cost of $10.00 per additional pet. Allow 3 weeks to process your order.

Instructions

To Order Online (for Visa and Master Card orders:

1) Simply click on the picture of the garment stye of your choice (see our Garment Pricing Chart for prices).

2) The order form for that garment will appear. Fill out all information.

3) Click the "Complete This Order" button at the bottom.

4) Check the final costs. Then, use the "Browse" function to select your pet's photo(s) to have attached to the order.

5) Finalize the order by clicking the Send This Order. Return

To Order by Mail:

1) Locate a clear photo of your pet. We prefer pictures that are 3 x 5 or 5 x 7 inches so the details of their coat and face are more visible, however we can work from smaller photos if that is all you have available (see Hints, below). Diane Wat Design is not responsible for damaged or lost photos. Please include your name, address and phone number on the back of the photo.

2) Go to the following order form page and print that page. It is your order form. Fill it in completely by hand.

3) Wrap your photo in the order form or place between two sheets of cardboard.

4) Enclose a check for the full amount due (shipping is included in the stated prices). For California orders, please compute CA sales tax at 8.00% and add that to your garment cost.

To Order by eMail (if your browser does not support our online order systm):

1) Download from a digital camera, or scan into your computer, the desired photograph(s) of your pet(s). We prefer that electronic photos are in JPEG or EPS formats (not BMPs or GIFs), and have been scanned in at 150 dpi or greater (see Hints, below).

3) Check off the style of garment you wish to have your pet's picture on and the number of pets from the selections above.

4) Attach the photo file of your pet to the email and send it to us.

Hints:

There should be as much detail in the photo as possible. Darker pets often mean dark photos. Supplying two or more photos is acceptable.
The finished art piece will have the same approximate viewing angle as your photo. If you send us a side profile, your finished garment will feature your pet in that profile positon. Please be sure you are sending a photo that is similar to your desired end result.
If you believe that the photo that shows your pet in the viewing angle is too dark, you might wish to include another, brighter picture of the pet so we can see his or her details. Just be sure to indicate which one is the prefered viewing angle photo.
If you have any special instructions (such as... "her eyes are closed but I would like them to appear open," or "please be sure to get the blue spot on his tongue,") include them.
